Mother’s Day Walk & International Migratory Bird Day Celebration ( 9:30 am - 11:00 am )

The Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority (GRCA) is hosting a Mother’s Day Walk on Sunday, May 13th, 2012 from 9:30am to 11:00am at the Ganaraska Forest Centre. This year we will be celebrating International Migratory Bird Day, as well as Mother’s Day, with a guided and informative walk through the forest. Families are welcome to come out and enjoy the fresh air in the hardwood forest, which is full of the sweet smells of spring and the sounds of returning songbirds after the long, cold winter. Join us afterwards for tea and sweets, and then leave with a fresh, spring flower.

Pre-registration and payment are required for this guided walk by contacting the GRCA administrative office at 905-885-8173. The Mother’s Day Walk will be held rain or shine. Don’t forget your binoculars and bird books; many different species can be found in the Ganaraska Forest! The cost for this event is $10.00 per adult and $4 per child. We ask that all children be 8 years of age or older.
